Breaking News: LonelyGirl15 is Jessica Rose!

The popular video blog of LonelyGirl15 has recently come unraveled. First came the discovery that emails from her were actually routed from the Creative Artists Agency

Headquarters in Los Angeles. Then came the revelation that the domain name www.lonelygirl15.com had been purchased before her first vlog actually aired. Paranoid theory emerged that CAA or MTV were planning a secret Blair Witch-esque promo using LonelyGirl15 as a platform. It appears theory came to fruition with recent discovery that LonelyGirl15 is actually an 18 year-old actress originated from New Zealand named Jessica Rose. Though this new form of viral marketing may be creative, it also may create distrust within the You Tube community toward the validity of other popular cewebrities- such as also popular “Lucy In LA.”

Darwin: I suppose the question I would love to ask you is how you were able to overcome a barrier many people of your age could not overcome?

Geriatric: I don't know. Maybe the fact that I have worked alongside many young people and seen how friendly and helpful they can be, given a chance, might have something to do with it.

Darwin: How did you develop the ability to embrace new technology and culture so warmly?

Geriatric: I think mainly I have never wanted to get old and therefore may have [just] sorted them out.

Darwin: I am in awe of how you've embraced the YouTube format and community, as well as how they have returned the warmth. Many older people seem weary and unwilling to accept or even consider things such as the internet, let alone a cutting edge video forum such as this. What insights and advice would you give concerning the phenomenon of the internet and its social implications?

Geriatric: The Internet thing? Well lots of old people don't see a need to use it and enjoy their time doing other things but if they did have the need I am sure that they could and would. If they did then I would say to them....buy one then ask a child to show you.
